Ahh, new appearance

Ok, so I went with the purple theme. I found out how to change it, finally. I think I like it, but it is a little to feminine. What about you readers out there, is the purple a nice Viking touch, or a little bit too much of a touch with my womenly side?

Thanks,

Sage

  1. It's quite upsetting as a Vikings' fan you'd call Purple feminine. I do NOT think of girls when I think of purple greats like Eller, Page, Tark, Millard, Doleman, etc... But the cheerleaders and many girls DO look great in purple. It's a GREAT color, soon to be a color of royalty, should you help to make it that. And remember, green and yellow should remind you of puke.

Sage, I was pushing for in a Vikings' forum for getting you LAST offseason (but NOT this last year, I was thought you regressed a bit this last season, from the season before) because you played so well, I thought you were a sleeper. I was particularly impressed with your game against the Titans, and a few other ones, and wondered how you might fare on a team that actually had a defense.

One of the other things that impressed me about you Sage, was that you WANTED to be the starter in Houston after they signed Schaub, and you showed some leadership skills, something that seems to be lacking in TJACK.

How about RAGE Rosenfels ? Personally, I think Rosenfels sounds a little feminine, and something like RAGE might offset that a little, instead of the intellectual sounding SAGE.

IF you get a chance, please respond to my post, or at least acknowledge that you read it. Thanks.

IF your interested, check out talkvikes.gorge.net. You'll hear positive and plenty of negative comments on the team there, but good discussion.

  2. Hell Marty, thanks for the open honesty! I do love my purple uniforms, but when I first made this blog, I had a different background color that was closer to pink, then decided to change it to this more Vikings color. I am glad you wanted me, hopefully I can prove myself to all of you great fans

  3. The yellow is a bit tough to read. I prefer the deeper purples and with white boxes, and maybe yellow highlights. But for someone who is technologically disadvantaged (*wink!*) it's not a bad start!

I hope you're not listening to the haters; it could end this blog really soon! Keep it up!

  6. Sorry Marty, I just realized I made a typo that could have made me come off as a little mean. My "hell Marty" was supposed to say Hello! Sorry. And to everyone else, love the constructive critisism. I like your blog PJD by the way, would love any pointers you may have

  7. Hell Sage, I thought that is just the way you talked, sort of casual and honest. I don't talk that way, but wouldn't hold it against you if you did. I was just EXTREMELY flattered you responded to my post, and am REALLY excited about the upcoming season.

I think the Vikes will be both good AND entertaining (whether they do or do NOT sign #4), hopefully you are leading the way Sage. I think if you play with confidence, you can be QUITE successful in Minnesota.

You're gonna LOVE throwing to Harvin, hitting Berrian deep, hitting Rice even when he's covered (he's good for jumpballs), hitting Shianco across the middle, and just handing it off to Peterson.

You'll also LOVE what the Vikings' defense can do if you give it early leads ! They haven't had enough of those the last few years, mainly because of poor QBing. IF you give them some, they will take over games, and you can just hand it off to Peterson and Taylor later in the game.
